I’m involved with organizing numerous groups, events, and community resources in New York City’s game development scene.

If you're interested in learning more about game development in New York, these resources are a great place to start.

IGDA NYC Chapter

Since 2019 I have been chair, and co-chair since 2015, of the New York City chapter of the International Game Developers Association (IGDA).

The chapter carries out the IGDA’s core mission to advance the careers and enhance the lives of game developers by connecting members with their peers through meetups and online forums, promoting professional development, and celebrating the achievements and unique culture of the NYC game development community.

I created and maintain the chapter’s website, which is the hub for information about the chapter as well as hosting community resources such as the job board and event calendar.

I write and publish the NYC Game Dev Digest, a comprehensive monthly publication collecting local job listings, education and development opportunities, community events, and news about New York game makers, as well as chapter news and events.

I organize numerous events for the chapter, including a monthly coffee & ice cream social, feature events such as Feedback Forum show & tell nights and themed roundtables, and an annual career fair, the NYC Games & Digital Media Career Fair.

NYC Indie Games

NYC Indie Games is a social and networking group on Facebook for local indie developers. I host a regular drink night for the group on the first Wednesday of the month.

NYC Game Dev Calendar

I curate and maintain the NYC Game Dev Calendar, a public Google calendar listing events of interest to game developers in the NYC area.
